Isobel is a founder and Director of Masterclass. She graduated from University of Surrey in 1982 and completed a management training programme in Paris before returning to the UK and working for Trusthouse Forte as assistant to one of their senior Directors. She then joined Digital Equipment Company and worked for six years as a sales executive and sales manager.

In 1988 she co-founded Masterclass Recruitment and Training, working with a wide range of industries both in IT, commercial and public sectors. She works on both a consultancy and training basis to ensure a complete service to training and development. Clients include Lotus Developments, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IBM, Compaq/Digital, Computer2000, The Stock Exchange, Computer Associates, Equant, Nationwide, CMG, Rank Xerox, Calor Gas, Nottingham City Council, Borland International and Intel.

Isobel has trained both in the UK and Europe, has managed large and small teams and understands the stresses and strains of managing and motivating staff. Her training style is highly pragmatic and interactive and is focused on improving performance that can be measured both at a personal level and at a corporate level.

She has held a number of non executive Directorships with companies that are venture capital funded and rapidly growing.

Isobel specialises in Management Development Programmes (with a strong emphasis on Performance Management), Business Development and Sales Skills and, in particular, the psychology of selling. She also coaches and supports both companies and individuals in personal presentation techniques. In addition to the clients listed above Isobel has recently worked with Thomson Technology Group, Xyratex (formerly IBM Havant), Seer Technologies, SAS Institute, Iona Technologies, Manugistics, NCR and Computer Sciences Corporation.
