Helen Bouchami
Helen is a consultant with over 20 years’ experience of Management and Organisational Development. She specialises in Human Resource Development strategy, customised design of learning processes and coaching individual managers and teams.
She has particularly strong experience of working internationally, and is fluent in French. Her clients include Ashridge Management College, Avery Dennison, SmithKline Beecham, HypoVereinsbank, Hasbro, Morgan Stanley International, Standard Chartered, BOC, Philips, Great Western Trains, Scott Wilson Railways, Napp Pharmaceuticals and Xyratex.
Helen is also Deputy Chairman of the Royal Berkshire Ambulance NHS Trust. Over the last 2 years this Trust has become the best performing Ambulance Trust in the South East region and the fourth nationally in its category.
Helen previously worked for Digital Equipment Corporation where she managed Executive Development at European and at Corporate levels. This included responsibility for a suite of management learning and development programmes and processes to develop leadership and business management capability. She was a member of the core team that pioneered Digital’s competency-based development processes in the 1980s.
Prior to her years with Digital, Helen operated an independent international consulting business with clients in the US and Europe. She started her career in Algeria, where she was Human Resource Development Manager for a division of the State Oil and Gas Company.
Helen has a BA (Econ) in Sociology and Politics, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. She is a graduate of Digital’s International Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD and is a qualified user of psychometric materials (British Psychological Society Levels A & B), with particular experience of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and FIRO-B.
